Want to live in Redding, California? I live right by Whiskeytown Lake and Mt.Shasta, CA.
This is a fantastic city to raise a family!
I want to move to a small town in Oreogn.
Favorite places are: Wallowa County, the entire coast of Oregon, Roseburg, Grants Pass. Not interested in larger cities like Portland, Salem, Eugene, Corvallis, or the larger suburbs outside Portland. Nope, had enough of the City, really would like a small town life now, in Oregon.

I will hit my 20 year mark on December 31st, 2008! This Year! I work at the nicest Post Office in Redding, the Yuba Street Office. The older downtown area is being, and has been Restored! It's magnificent. The lakes, boating, fishing, watersking is great in Summer. Then in Winter, snowboarding, sno-sking. Redding is located so that you can live in a really nice Rural area like I do, or right in the City. The housing is terrific too. Every income can definately afford Redding. Maybe an extra Rental home too. Or a Boat. A Cabin not far from Redding in the mountains. One thing is guarenteed, you will be as happy as I have been raising my family in Redding.
However, my family has re-located for College to Oregon. I really would like to move up to be with my three college kids there, and still work.
Redding has alot to do. Art, Events, Parades, Agriculture, everything from big Concerts at the Convention Center or Win River Casino or the Shasta County Fairgrounds. The Kool April Nights, Parade and Car Show every year.
The Asphault Cowboys. There's housing for senior family members too.
Restaurants for EVERY taste.
Chico State U, Shasta College, Simpson College.
I live up in the mountains, so when I'm driving home during the Summer, I just pull over at Wiskeytown Lake, and jump in!
Not far to drive to Lassen or Weaverville. I go to Weaverville to the Annual Fireworks Festival and Parade every year. But, Redding & Anderson have fireworks too.
Trader Joe's will be opening in a few months for Health Food & Organic edibles.
Yes, we have a Mall. And lots of stores and more new stores opening each year.
There's really something for anyone and everyone in Redding. It only takes a few hours to get to Sacramento (My Postal District) or San Francisco. Just got back from San Francisco.
It also easy to get to the coast in a few hours via the 299 Westbound to Arcata & Eureka to the Humboldt State University or the really kewl town of Arcata.
What's to do for a fun money making pastime?
Why! Gold panning and Dredging of course.
My neighbor wears a nugget as a nicktie. lol.
There's a nice Old Hotel/Pub & Restaurant for sale in French Gulch, only 20 little minutes away from My Post Office on Yuba Street.
A General Store for sale there too.
So, come on, lets Swap. You know you want to.
I'll take Oregon, you take Nor-Cal.
Anyone wanting really kewl pic's of Redding and the surrounding area, just let me know.
