Can someone remind me how the time requirement works. I read our contract over 5 years ago...and I thought there was a distinction between transfers within a district and to an adjoining district on the one hand; and a different time req. for a "long distance" transfer. Specifically, I thought I remembered the "local" transfer required 18 months and a long distance transfer was 12 months. Right or wrong?... Thanks!
I thought it was 18 months all around. But a Postmaster can waive this requirement for good reason, such as a spouse that is transfered or a family situation that requires you to move
